


Home Grants For Eligible Home Buyers
The Welcome Home Ohio (WHO) Program aims to make home ownership more attainable and affordable for eligible buyers. This program offers grants for purchasing residential properties, funding construction or rehabilitation projects, and securing nonrefundable tax credits for qualifying activities. Additionally, the Welcome Home Grant Program provides financial assistance to help home buyers achieve their dream of owning a home, offering generous support for first-time buyers, veterans, and active-duty military members.
Program Features
For a limited time, the state of Ohio is offering financial assistance.

Grant Amounts
- Up to $20,000 for eligible homebuyers to use toward down payment or closing costs.
- Up to $25,000 for honorably discharged veterans, active-duty military, reservists, and surviving spouses of service members

Wide Eligibility
- You do not need to be a first-time homebuyer, but the purchased property must be your primary residence.
- Funds can be used for 1-4 unit properties or for construction loans.

Limited Availability
- Grants are available on a first-come, first-served basis starting in March 2025.
Income Guidelines
Income limits for eligibility are based on guidelines set by the Federal Home Loan Bank (FHLB).
